New guidance has been published by the Faculty of Sexual Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) on emergency contraception. The guidance for health professionals is based on available evidence and consensus opinion of experts.
In addition to a new oral method introduced in a previous document, this one brings new data on the effectiveness of emergency contraception methods and emphasises the use of the copper intrauterine device (Cu-IUD).
