World AIDS Day 2015

After a super busy National HIV Testing Week we arrive at World AIDS Day.

Again the METRO team and our partners will be out across the South East, raising awareness, offering HIV tests, offering red ribbons and collecting donations for our Hardship Fund. Make a donation or text one by texting METR01 £5 to 70070 (remember METR zero one), you can set the amount you would like to donate to £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10.

  • Vauxhall station with ribbons morning and evening
  • Greenwich station with ribbons morning and evening
  • The Health Bus in General Gordon Square 12:00 noon - 6:00pm, with ribbons and offering HIV tests and cupcakes!
  • St Mungo's Lewisham offering HIV tests over lunchtime
  • Woolwich Library with ribbons 12:00 noon - 4:00pm
  • County Hall, Chelmsford, 11:00am - 3:00pm with a stall

Watch out for our Kent and Medway team and their resources at Student Unions, schools and colleges and more. They will be ending the day at the Kent Canterbury Cathedral service.

What is the METRO Hardship Fund?

The fund provides small one-off payments, usually £50, to people accessing our service who really need a bit of extra support. The vast majority of payments made are to people living with HIV.
