Boys and young men project
What is this service?
We provide mentoring and support for boys and young men through one-to-one and small group sessions. We help boys and young men with a range of issues including sexual health, relationships, identity, sexuality, and harmful or risk taking behaviours.
We provide comprehensive and holistic relationships and sex education. We create a safe, non-judgemental space for boys and young men to explore their identity and behaviour as men and help support them to develop practical steps to improve their lives.
Is this for me?
You need to identify as a boy or young man, be aged 24 or under and live in Merton or Medway.

Why we do it
Every young person deserves to grow up secure and confident in their identity.
For many boys and young men, social pressures and a lack of relevant support mean they grow up with damaging understandings of masculinity and relationships. Men are more likely to be involved in crime, and commit the vast majority of sexual and violent offences. Men end their own lives more frequently than women, and are far less likely to report their experiences of sexual violence or abuse.
We all need certain skills to be able to form healthy, safe, and fulfilling relationships throughout our lives. By creating a safe space for boys and young men to explore their identity, we can prevent harmful behaviours and attitudes becoming engrained in later life. We improve the wellbeing of boys and young men and work to prevent future harm.
In most cases, mainstream services aren't critically engaging with boys and young men to discuss these issues and provide practical support.
